Lemon Cakes of Love & Chocolate Treasures

We are back from our blogging hiatus! There's a bit of catching up to do.

My dear mother-in-law let me borrow her mini bundt-pans. I've never baked in a normal sized one, not to mentioned the adorable just under one cup size. Last night's treats were fluffy lemon-almond pound cakes with a lemon glaze.
Yes, pound cakes aren't known for being fluffy. The original recipe, although labeled a pound cake actually turned out to be light, moist and tender dessert perfect for summer! I halved the original version and look forward to making it by the book next time. A recipe will be included soon.
Braiser enjoyed the dessert so much that he asked for another version the very next day. It was inspired by my mother-in-law who can't enjoy the delicious lemony version. This was a trial run for her mini pound cake treats, cooked in her lovely pans and served on her father's green depression glass! Chocolate-pecan-almond with chocolate frosting!
